With a manufacturing career that spans more than four decades, Mark Andrews is passionate about strategic planning, leadership development, growth, and the use of metrics to drive accountability and action. He has worked for JSJ, a privately-held collection of growth companies that provides industry-leading durable goods and services globally for 37 years.
Currently he is the Chief Strategy Officer for GHSP working on strategies related to sales and marketing, foreign expansion, and cost savings initiatives. GHSP, a global business of JSJ based in Grand Haven, Michigan, is an innovative leader in mechatronics - the convergence of mechanical, electronic and applied software technologies that improve how cars, trucks and premium appliances operate.
Mark also works with several other JSJ businesses on a consultant basis, including Hudson Technologies where he served as President for the last nine years. Hudson Technologies, located in Ormond Beach, Florida, is a manufacturer of precision metal enclosures used to enclose technologies for implantable medical devices and other industries worldwide including aerospace, semi-conductor, commercial battery, electronics and more. Under Andrews’ leadership, the Ormond Beach manufacturer transformed from Hudson Tool & Die to Hudson Technologies. VMA named it Manufacturer of the Year in 2008 and presented it with two Best Practice awards for Employee Wellness Program and Going Green in 2009. In addition to championing employee wellness initiatives, Andrews was the driving force behind the company’s journey to become a green manufacturer - a two-year, $2 million project that culminated in 2007 with Hudson eliminating all hazardous waste from its manufacturing process. In 2010, Hudson Technologies earned the Retention/Expansion Project Award from the City of Ormond Beach. During his tenure, Hudson Technologies tripled its medical product line sales.
Prior to serving as President of Hudson Technologies, Mark was responsible for GHSP’s global sales and marketing, manufacturing operations in Germany, and engineering and sales in Japan.
He also continues to help several industry, community and advisory organizations enhance their strategic planning process including the VMA for which he is the 2013/2014 chairman, United Way Volusia-Flagler Counties, UCF Business Incubator-Daytona Beach and the CEO Business Alliance.
